Zoe Stephens, Salon MD has being a hairdresser for 17 years working in various major city centre salons along the way. Today Urban Hair Salon now employs a team of over 13, all with 1 goal... to exceed our Customer’s expectations.

Meet the team
At Urban hair salon we have a team of dedicated staff whose main aim is to ensure your visit is as pleasurable as possible. Developing our staff is key to our continued growth. Which is why Urban Hair Salon views training as a journey rather than a destination... it is ALWAYS ongoing! We have both internal reviews and external training supported by industry leaders such as L’Oreal, Ghd and fudge.

Zoë Stephens – MD Urban hair salon
Zoë has over 17 years of hairdressing experience working in various city centre hair salons in Sheffield, then moving to Wigan in 1999. Feeling frustrated with the lack of customer care Zoë made the decision to venture out on her own .Urban hair salon was created.

Joanne Kaye - Assistant MD Urban hair salon
Joanne has over 13 years of hairdressing experience. Trained and qualified in one of Liverpool’s most prestige hair salons, before joining urban hair salon. Joanne is a L’Oreal colour degree specialist with a wealth of knowledge in colour and colour correction.

Nicola Wolstenholme - Creative designer and in salon trainer 
Nicola has over 9 years hairdressing experience, joining urban hair salon over 12 months ago. Her dedication to in salon training ensures our hairstylists of the future gain the knowledge and hairdressing skills they need to qualify to a high salon standard.

Louise Grundy - Designer and in salon trainer
Louise has over 8 years hairdressing experience, trained and qualified in one of liverpools' most prestige hair salons. Joined urban hair as an in salon trainer 4 years ago. Her individual creativity with wedding hair is outstanding.

Gavin - Artistic Designer
He has over 16 years experience, previously working in a leading Manchester city centre salon, his forte is Ladies and mens contempary and high fashion cutting.

Jen - Stylist
She is currently working towards her level three advanced hairdressing qualification; her passions are avant garde Hair-up, blow-drying and creative colouring.

Laura - Stylist
Laura is also working towards her level three advanced hairdressing qualification. Laura excels at fashion colouring and cutting.
